Dave - the last time we did this, Antartica had to be added for a few of our penguin members!  ;D  Dave

What about extraterrestrials?  :P  Thankfully I'm not one of those, so I was able to vote.  ;D

I always say it's better to be a smartass than a dumbass.  ;)

Springfield, Ohio. My relatives are all from Germany, England, France, and Italy.

I never know how to respond to this question.  There just never seems to be a slot for me, though my situation is far from unique.  I'm of East Indian racial background, but my family is from the Carribbean.  So what does that make me?  "Asian" doesn't seem quite right, which is already such a heterogenous group to begin with.  "South American" seems even less apt.  So I left it blank.

I voted North American this time since there was no position for Antarctica, and I've been living here for awhile anyways.

You're South American.

That's why I did not respond either, even though in my case it seems clear. "Where are you" is easier to answer. But "who I am" can not be answered racially or geographically. Shrunk does not say to himself "I am South American", even though by some other person's definition, he is.

Turkish. But American.

Just respond with where you were born if you don't know how to respond. No one will tell on you.

I'm North Americanadian.

My background is French.  But I think we're at least 6 or 7 generation emigrated from France.

I am Euro-American. I was born in Hollywood, Calif. but I am half Spanish, one quarter Slovak and Hungarian, and one quarter is a mix of German, English, Scottish, Irish and Dutch. The only thing that makes me "North American" is that I was born in the USA. But both sides of my family are of European descent and I now live in Europe. So I think that Euro-American is what I am.  8) ;D

Every single time I look at the title of this thread, I can't help but wonder how our forum took such an existentialist turn all of a sudden. :P
