Heather Harrison

I mysteriously disappeared from here back in December (if I remember correctly) because I got busy for a while.  Then, I got out of the habit of visiting web forums.  I just realized that it has been a long time, and I thought I should return.  I have been buying CDs and attending concerts and operas in the meantime, and lately I have become attracted to the music of Schubert, so I might look for threads on his music.  I have also been buying other stuff.  My collection of the chemical elements is going well; I only have about 15-20 to go before I have all of the ones that are possible to obtain in pure form.  I have also found a lot of antique telephones lately, and I have spent the last few weekends cleaning them up and rewiring them as necessary.  I now have 32 telephones hooked up and working at home.

I sometimes disappear from forums when I get busy, so don't be surprised if I vanish again.  Since I was gone for so long this time, I thought I should announce my return here.  For those who don't know me, I collect a wide variety of music - classical from all time periods, jazz, popular music up to about 1970, and world music.  I typically post short reviews of my new purchases, and I will probably start doing that again.

This forum is good enough with so many wonderful members that we don't really miss anybody.

But we missed you!

Welcome home, Heather. Just the other day I was contemplating the absent members, wondering what had become of them, where they were now...if they still were  ;D ....and your name was prominent. Glad to see you return, the prodigal daugher. As an obsessive collector myself, I always read your posts with interest...and not a little envy.

the phone rings and somebody says,
"hey, they made a movie about
Mahler, you ought to go see it.
he was as f*cked-up as you are."
