Dude! Stockhausen on the frontpage!

Imagine my shock when I navigated my way to YouTube's main page and saw this:



Here's the video. All I can say is ... what a waste of money that piece is

It may not be the most recent comment floating on top now, but someone wrote something like "Man, wouldn't it be great if the four helicopters all crashed and they filmed it!"

90% of the remarks are of that nature. The thing seems to inspire that sort of vehemence. When the conservationists stopped the first performance, because it would destroy the environment if 4 helicopters with violinists on board flew over Salzburg for 30 minutes, they added "It would be best if Stockhausen went up with his helicopters and never came back."
Plus the guys who claim to like the thing come in for the same sort of attack.  It's not my favorite Stockhausen, but I like it well enough, and sometimes give it a spin on the long commute to work (everyone else thanks St. Michael or whoever for the invention of headphones). Recently, though, my attention has been on Freude, Stop und Start, Himmelfahrt and Europa-Gruss.
