What SACDs would you recommend for each Mahler symphony?

I'm not (necessarily) looking for one conductor/one box, but just the best available rendition of each individual work.

I should have said hi-rez. DVD-A included if that makes a difference.

I have the ARTS recording of M2 on audio DVD (Robert Schumann Philharmonie / Oleg Caetani), and it remains one of my faves despite the big names.

All of the MTT, SFS recordings that I have heard have been well recorded and nicely played (if not the epitome).

Chailly's 9th is very good performance wise, I don't have the equipment to hear the SACD layer.

While I have not heard the SACD layer of these... the red book layer is excellent:

I also have the Michael Tilson Thomas/San Francisco Symphony SACDs, and I find them to be generally well-played and with good sound.  Of course, some are better than others; I especially like his Seventh.

Another good one is Chailly's Third; it is, so far, my favorite performance of the Third.

I have been very disappointed with Gergiev's recent releases. The 5th and 6th are recorded at a very low level, the overall sound is not especially rich, and as far as performances go, the 5th is very pedestrian, and the 6th is way too fast. I enjoy Benjamin Zander's Telarc recordings much more than these live LSO discs. Gilbert's 9th on BIS is quite good, if not as menacing in the first movement as the old Solti RBCD.
