Blah blah blah, no one here had any quarrel to M when he was writing about the music.

Ah, this is really why you miss him:  there just isn't enough ill-humored personal remark on the board now.

Strange how for some people that means that things are "less interesting."

I've probably rallied for M.'s return as much as anyone here, being that his opinion was apparently somewhat popular.

Maybe I'm not such a popular guy. I guess I just don't jump in people's faces enough when I'm having a boo-boo day. Of course, that tends to only entertain people whom are actually living the boo-boos in an everyday, boo-hoo kinda way.

Hey hey!

To be perfectly blunt, it seems to me (and I seriously doubt that too many here on this forum would disagree with me) that there are a select few posters on this board whom have added significantly less than my fiancee's cleavage ;). And I mean that interms of both entertainment and education,

They just clip you from both sides, Andy; faugh.

I think it's fine if things are less interesting here, for there are plenty of interesting things on TV to watch - unless Cops, Jerry Springer, When Animals Attack, Jackass, Reno 911 have all been cancelled...

When I used that wayback machine I discovered/recalled that a few years ago we were having the same discussion when M was banned! :D :D  Except that time there was a thread dedicated to that discussion.

Andy - I've not 'chimed into' this thread for a number of reasons; but I did enjoy M's comments when directed at strictly musical topics, and I never had a personal confrontation w/ him, although obviously many others did regardless of the reasons - personally, if he could return w/ a different 'forum personality', I'd give him a chance, but just not sure if that is possible?

However, I have never liked the 'concept' of this thread, in which 'positive' and often rather 'negative' comments are made about former members who have left; the latter can easily 'check into' this forum and view these negative posts, not a way to invite people back into the fold; this just may be an issue w/ me as a physician and HIPAA regulations regarding giving out or talking about patients, but I just feel that this is similar - sorry?

And, OTOH, lamenting the disappearance of former members that all have felt contributed positively to the forum can be similarly annoying to those who may have left (and have been criticized basically 'in public' on this forum) can be equally insulting to not only those who have disappeared but also to many of us who are still members of the forum, and trying to contribute to the forum.

I guess that my 'bottom line' is that I don't like this thread - just seems to be mis-directed and often brutal to people who we really have no personal relationship - very difficult to judge an individual from his or her persona on a virtual cyberspace connection - well, just my thoughts -  :)

Very well said, sir. The points you make are quite excellent!

Is there any reason this issue has to drag on and on and on and on....?

Amen to this. These people who bragging implicitly about their superior social skill should realize this is just a keyboard they're socializing with.

I'm having a bad hair day - I just discovered that if I want to grow a goatee it'll be 2/3rds gray. :P ;D

Grey(gray) hair make you look distinguished :)

(At least that's what I tell myself! Anyway....mine is not grey, it's brown with silvery streaks ;D)

I'm too shocked to find anything positive in it right now. But "distinguished" isn't bad! ;D

Having read the penultimate page or so; I agree with those who feel that enough is enough. Topic now locked, any new such topic in the nerar future will be deleted.

Thanks to those who diverted the thread right at the end.
