Thanks for the link, Saul. Very nicely done. It does lack the "oomph" of the original, especially in the faster, louder parts, but I know I can't expect much from a piano quintet.

I feel exactly the same, especially towards the end, the passion and the tension are missing , especially the high notes for the piano. Too bad that in that section the bass line was the dominant factor. But as you say, there is only that much that a chamber arrangement can pull out of this. Nevertheless , its very nicely done.

Why don't you just post every YOUTUBE video about Mendelssohn.  Since no one at GMG knows how to use the YOUTUBE search function, it would be very helpful for you to search YOUTUBE, and simply post every Mendelssohn video on GMG for us to enjoy.

There are hundreds of videos about Mendelssohn. I am only posting those videos that I think are important and are interesting for others as well.

Why don't you just ignore these topics,  if your not interested.
I noticed that you posted like 6 Wagner Youtube threads. As you know , I am not a Wagner fan, but it was your right to post them and I just ignored them.

Why cant you do the same for the threads you dislike?
