One of my linguistic charges from the non-native speakers in my life, is to make them aware of words which are standard English, but which don't fall within the list of 315 words Guaranteed to be Comprehensible to Television Audiences  ;D

(Not that I've made a point of teaching them abecedarian, mind you.)

Ahem... I find abecedarian studies to be a rewarding area of study.

Surely 'muzzlewump' is a real word? I thought it was defined as the small diamond-shaped indentation you sometimes get when a burglecrumbly presses a little too tightly against a horizontal nadgerwort. Or is that only on Tuesdays?
