Wondefully said, Dave, that you are listening to air. Is that your own creation?

Yes, thanks.

And you still gave the film only 9/10 stars..

WTF is wrong with the people that used to work with me? Do they learn?

The dude who got arrested for traveling to meet a 14 year old just got arrested again a week ago for the same thing- only 5 months had passed since then. The first time it was a "14 year old girl" and the second time, I can't find the info for.

That hot Polish girl I used to work with who got arrested a year ago for pawning stuff that wasn't hers did the same exact thing (well, burglary + pawn) 2 months ago. I just don't get how they can do the same thing twice and think they won't get caught or don't get scared enough to stop.

Probably they got lenient first offender treatment and drew the wrong lesson.

Or they're clueless.

Or you are a bad influence.

:)

Probably this. They were really nice and likable people, but neither of them struck me as even close to intelligent...

WOO HOO!

I won, via email lottery 1.5 billion British pounds!  Yes, billion, milliard, nine zeroes, giga. I am pumped I tell ya.

All I have to is send them my name, address, age, address, image of my signature, phone number, and occupation.

Out of politeness I guess I should point out to them the spelling errors in the email they sent me. Surprising that they have billions to give away but cannot afford a spell checker. Oh well.

My ship has come in! Seon boxes for all GMG members once the cheque clears!

Henk

Really? That is hilarious. Congratulations!

Don't forget to give them your bank account number and password. Without that they'll have no way to transfer the billyons to you.

Probably need to know the music better to properly appreciate it. But the wikiwander did lead me to something for Ken and Eigenuser

True. The titles, especially. I like how it takes the transcendently psychedelic themes and just stretches it to the extreme.

Actualy it sounds like MI territory, he likes King Crimson. (Or he does until further notice).  I didn't much care for KC when I heard it. A lot of the other things listed ring a bell though.

Hahaha, wikiwander. I love it.

I'm slightly ashamed to admit that I don't know any other genres of music well (though I do know about a little bit of jazz, and love it). I've heard of math rock before. It made me think of a tape I had in 2nd/3rd grade when I was learning multiplication, called "Multiplication Rock". It was a guy singing the times tables. That's all I can think of .

Ken, I used to love Alvin and the Chipmunks when I was little! Probably around the time I listened to multiplication rock!
Beethoven's Op. 133 -- A fugue so bad that even Beethoven himself called it "Grosse".

QuoteIn 1820 over 75% of all Jewish families in Charleston, Richmond, and Savannah owned slaves. Almost 40% of all Jewish householders in the United States owned one slave or more." In the South, which had a much higher ratio of slave ownership than the North, only 5% of white people owned slaves.

Am I just ignorant and this is common knowledge or is this just something people don't know?
(seems that the book is legit, though biased)

Just an FYI, for the next 10 days or so I have scheduled 3-4 tweets a day with photos from my two-week trip to France. So if you wanna see what I saw (...and ate...), check it out. Starting morning of July 29.

It is extremely selective and ignores much context. For instance, the quote you clipped ignores the fact that most Jews were urban and urban households with one slave were still common even outside the South at that date (1820).  And some of the cites may be spurious--he admits his source is an out and out Jew-hater, Farrakhan. Some of it is true...the treatment of the Ethiopian Jews is shameful,  but of course they are there in the first place because the Israeli government airlifted the Falasha en masse to save them from possible genocide at the hands of the then government of Ethiopia.

I figured there was a sort of bias- other people pointed that out, too.
