And would you use it on your computer Gurn, when the issues do not resolve themselves? ;)

Nah, I've found that issues never resolve themselves. It takes tons of intervention, some of which I am able to provide, the rest of which I must purchase or rent.

I would try uninstalling Excel and rebooting. Then with everything working OK, I would reinstall Excel. If that doesn't work, let me know and I will loan you my AR-15... :D

I saw a cartoon on the subject that I liked.

A woman in a second floor window is watching a computer plummet to the ground under it. She looks longsuffering and into the phone she says.....I am afraid the computer has just gone down.

Mike
DavidW: Yeah Mike doesn't get angry, he gets even.
I wasted time: and time wasted me.

Harry

I can imagine this scene perfectly! ;D

Not really though. I have Q6700 Intel quad core extreme, with all cores overclocked to 3.9ghz. That's paired with 4GB of 1600mhz OCZ platinum gamer RAM and 4x 120GB Western Digital Raptor 12,000 RPM Hard drives at RAID 0.

I would like to hear what you have. Pentium III, 800mhz processor with 256MB DDR2 ram? 40GB HD maybe? Oh, must be on Windows NT.

We're sorry, son, but your sense of humor was too far gone to save.

Sergeant Rock

Just the topic for me today. The house, or ground close to the house was hit by lightning last week. Mrs. Rock's computer wasn't affected but my DSL modem died and it scrambled my computer's brains. It just wasn't the same again. It booted okay but couldn't recognize any of the peripherals, including the keyboard and mouse. It was like it had Alzheimers. It was alive, seemed to be functioning, but had no memory. Since it was three years old I decided to just buy a new computer. Seemed the easiest solution.

Now I'm having a whole lot of fun with Vista  :'(  ...compatiblility problems with favorite software and hardware. I'll work it out eventually but it is the reason I haven't been active in the forum for the last week.

Yes we were wondering about your absence my friend.

Something to cheer you up!
