What is there to see, eat, do, buy in Halifax (NS, Canada)??

I'm going there for a couple of meetings soon. I eat just about every type of ethnic food, and I'll be particularly interested in hearing about any worthwhile jazz clubs, record stores (esp. if they have VINYL), art/photography galleries and museums, beaches, scenic hikes, pipe organ recitals, bookstores, etc.
