I've been using my wife's computer that has all our pictures from our trip to Europe.  My computer died about a month ago, but I keep on ticking.

Nice friend :).
Durch alle Töne tönet
Im bunten Erdentraum
Ein leiser Ton gezogen
Für den der heimlich lauschet.

EMI seems to be banking on this Trpceski fellow as being the next big name in piano performance; they've given him something like three recital albums now, with glamorous cover photos and so on. Haven't heard any of them, myself, but reviews have been mixed.

They're already available on one superbudget triple.

They are all burned copies.  My friend and I have been doing this for each other for about three years now.  So far, no problems with sound or longevity.

Received in the mail Mahler's 9th conducted by Kurt Sanderling leading the BBC Philharmonic in a 1982 performance at BBC Studios.  I am curious what members think of this disc compared to other recordings Sanderling made of the 9th.

What are you waiting for?

Also, his Mahler, Bruckner, Shostakovich on Berlin Classics. Edel's 16 CD box is the best way to shop for Kurt Sanderling.

I wholeheartedly agree. That box set from Berlin Classics which sells for about $50 is a steal at 3x the price. Every performance in there is superb. The highlight of the set is probably a stunning Shostakovich 5th which combines extreme lyricism, precise rhythm, never over-the-top and just makes the music speak for itself in the best sense. The Sibelius on the set is superb also and many people may have the Brilliant Classics version of the Sibelius already and can verify.

Today's catch from MusicWeb:

Chopin Piano Works - Ingrid Fliter/EMI (lovely playing)
Faure Cello Sonatas - Kliegel/Tichman/Naxos
Herzogenberg - Piano Trios/CPO
Nielsen St. Qts, Vol. 2 - Dacapo

Received Bach's WTC Bk. 2 performed by Jill Crossland on piano (Signum).  Then, received a second copy direct from Crossland's manager.  Regardless of how many copies you might own, these are wonderful performances with a compelling variety of textures that makes each phrase sound unique.

Book 1 from Crossland is also outstanding.
