I made a simple Excel tool which can be useful for beginners as well as more experienced listeners. It works very well for me. Composers, works I want to investigate I put in the table. I give my opinion on works I've listened to and rank them. You can sort by ranking or by year composed (whatever you want) or filter on country. With a simple macro you can search on composer name quickly to get only the works by that composer. It's useful as a memory aid.

Hope it will work for anyone else too.

Thank you for this Henk.  I got the idea of 'listening notes' from another member on this forum - the spreadsheet you made is very useful indeed, but at the moment I prefer my big alphabetically tagged book.
