After hearing Boulez's rendition of the Ebony Concerto on the classic DG recording, it is impossible to get used to the version by Ashkenazy and Mustonen on London. This is awful considering I don't own the the Boulez recording anymore. I personally love Boulez Le Sacre and Petroushka with Cleveland on DG as well. Boulez has this type of mechanical conducting style with Stravinsky that seems to bring out the exactness and inner appeal of the complex rhythm and timbre, like in his opening of Petroushka, beyond perfect.
