No problems whatsoever. They are fast and reliable (in my experience).

Thank you so much, otare. I really appreciate it. I never used Presto Classical. Have you ever had any problems with them?
I know you didn't ask me, but they are a solid seller (bought from them without a problem several times). The advantage is in the box sets as they charge shipping on an item by item basis (and not per disc). They have a few labels at better prices than most (like Dutton), but I have noticed the USD prices change with the exchange rate. SO prices will shift a bit over time.

I may need to revise my desert island box set selection!

Symphony 8.
It's hard to say which boxset of RVW symphonies I would choose if allowed only one, but this is surely a contender and the 8th is one reason why.

Thanks Neal and Otare. Will definitely check them out.

Edit: Already have my eye on several recordings: Belohlavek's Suk/Britten on Supraphon, the Diepenbrock box set, Haitink's Ring cycle, the Delius Collection set, and the new Villa-Lobos Naxos recording of Symphonies 6 & 7.

In general I'm not a Karajan fan, but his Bruckner sings to me whereas most mumble and stutter. That's a great set and I'm glad you're enjoying it, Ilaria! (One of my 5 desert island choices. ;) )

Thread duty:
Having recently seen several favorable GMG references to this set, I've followed otare's lead via Mog. If the rest is as good as #1 & 2, I foresee another box set purchase in the very near future!

[asin]B004TWOXGC[/asin]

Which brings me to scratch my head again at the slowness of some record companies to realize that streaming online access to complete recordings may spur far more sales than it costs. Services like Mog and Spotify (and the occasional torrent download) have only increased my CD buying, not diminished it. Perhaps I should be grateful that some labels (hyperion comes immediately to mind) restrict availability of streaming albums and offer only pathetic 30-second clips on their sites, otherwise I would probably buy far more of their discs!

Thank you, David! I completely agree the Karajan is outstanding; absolutely beautiful! That's the only Bruckner's symphony cycle I own and the only one I need. ;) I'm pleased to see you're listening to Raekallio's Prokofiev, I bought that set some weeks ago and I've been incredibly enjoying it!

Bach: Musical Offering, BWV 1079

Todays listening is going to be a carbon copy of yesterdays - first up I listened to Disc 2 of Goulds recording of the Keyboard Partitas which was very good. Now I am playing the DHM Disc of the Musical Offering - I still dont know this work very well yet. Next I will listen to more of Goulds Bach. I will probably play Discs from his French suites and English suites sets.
