Bill,   Is this stereo or mono?

Mono, but remastered, Stuart.
There will never be another era like the Golden Age of Hollywood.  We didn't know how to blow up buildings then so we had no choice but to tell great stories with great characters.-Ben Mankiewicz

Listening to In the Tatra Mountains. Lovely work. It's been quite some time since I've listened to any of Novak's music.

I'm going through that set now myself;  gave a listen to CD 3,  chamber works featuring woodwinds,  tonight.  I've got two more CDs to listen to:  the works for violin with and without piano, and one of the two CDs devoted to the piano works.

I have been going through this set during the last couple of days:

Verdict? The set is let down by Barenboim's Beethoven concertos. Totally boring. Menuhin (Beethoven's violin concerto) isn't all that great either, but I loved Alan Civil in Mozart's horn concertos, and Annie Fischer in Liszt and Schumann is great.

Edit: Fischer's Schumann is slighty marred by a rather pedestrian last movement. But Oistrakh in Brahms' violin concerto is predictably wonderful.

Leaves little nothing to be desired. :) And the music is breathtaking...

Next up is this new purchase of consort music by Lawes, performed by Les Voix Humaines.
I did some comparing of the information on this recording with that about the "Consorts Sett a 5 or 6" on my beloved super-duper box set by Fretwork...

Could anyone confirm my impressions that these are indeed different works? :) :)

POULENC:    Chamber Music                    / Pascal RogĂ©, Patrick Gallois, Maurice Bourgue, Michel Portal

One of my favorite parts of Poulenc's music (the other being the Choral Music).
This CD includes the wonderful Sonata for flute & piano, one of his more inspired works, and the moving last two Sonatas, for clarinet and oboe. It also includes the Sextet and the Trio.

A delightful CD with superlative interpreters.

I know, and I do not understand why Naxos takes its time to complete the cycle. :(
