Practically all the choral works by Handel ever recorded and 20+ versions of Messiah
30+ Bach Brandenburg Ctos, 15 versions of WTC and 15+ versions of SMP, 3 complete Bach Cantatas cycles
10+ complete Beethoven Piano Sonatas and 20+ Beethoven Symphonies cycles
3 Wagner Ring cycles and all his operas
Just to name a few ...

BTW, I cannot give a damn about what some of my nemeses think.

I'm excited!! Just uploaded to NML:

Very first impression: whoa! You can hear the contrabassoon!

The new erato

Disc one (Berlioz) from this extensive 37 CD set of French orchestral music, some of which have been little recorded.

A veritable treasure trove. Expect 37 postings.

Are some of the pieces in this set 20th century works?  I have all the Berlioz choral works on Philips LP by Colin Davis and the best "French" box I have ever bought is this ...

Not sure, I heard it over my local NPR via the Sunday Baroque program.  It might have been works by Vivaldi ...

Shostakovich: Symphony No 10. Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra; Vasily Petrenko

Go listen and come back and post something about it, because I fear that if I try to write down my own thoughts about this CD, people will think I'm a gibbering fool.
