The Lorraine Hunt Lieberson Recital at Rivinia disk that came out in the winter.  Once again spellbinding delivery.  Very nice to hear the final 2 numbers: Deep River then Calling You from the movie Baghdad Cafe for a glimpse into another facet of her powerful singing.  Get it if you like Lorraine Hunt Lieberson.

Morning, friends!  :)

Nice choice George! :)  I listened to Mozart's Hoffmeister Quartet performed by the Hagen Q.  My recent background listening (not to be confused with real listening): Nielsen's 4th and 6th last night, some other mature Mozart SQs.

I love amazon prime, I ordered cds yesterday by free two day shipping and they arrived this morning! :D

Yeah it's darned good.  I don't know if I like that one or the Dissonance more, but those are my top two.

How can such a fist-pounding, devilish scherzo of such force and strength come from such a mild mannered composer?  :)

Inspiration.  Available to a humble man who sincerely spent a lifetime emptying himself of self to make room for it.
