Pfui dich!

There's no mentioning of the Virgin Mary in that ancient story!

$:)

Play Händel's Israel in Egypt instead!

I think you mistake me. I speak of the Eastern Orthodox [Christian] Pascha (i.e., Easter).

Anyway, dude, I was listening to the g minor Mass

Aaahhhh ...that's a beauty, Karl! :) When I heard it for the 1st time. My whole image of Domenico solely being a keyboard music composer went out of the window just like that! Gripping and touching performance too.

Sorry, I was being too orthodox. :-[

Enjoy Wolfgang! I find both the Kyrie and Qui tollis thrilling, and I also love the Sanctus. Goose bumps.

It is lovely, indeed. Curiously retro for the chap who was blazoning keyboard music trails, too!

Hans Huber - Piano Concertos 1 & 3. Very enjoyable. Very soothing and engaging - all at the same time.

I don't know all of his music well, but I love the piano works, and greatly enjoy the quartets and concertos. The quartets are a missing link between Bartók and spectralism, and the concertos feel perfectly written for the soloists. Most of all it is fun - I do not find much post-war music to express joy to me with any success, whether the composer intends it or not.

Interesting points. I agree it's fun. I remember the music now at least, so only with these points you make the impression already starts to last a bit more. I will give Ligeti another try soon.

I was thinking of listening to this again one of these mornings. It's a good quality performance. But glad I paid $10 less than it is currently selling for at a mdt sale a couple years ago.
