Willoughby earl of Itacarius

CD 15 from this set.

Already the end of this box, which deserved a place in my collection. I am grateful Que let me try again this ensemble which I rejected in my early days, partly because I did not understand their way of singing, and the other part being, hearing a bad example of their art back in the eighties. I am glad this is rectified. Recommended.

Joao Lourenco Rebelo.

Lamentations for Maundy Thursday.
Vesper Psalms.

I think that's Eszterháza. The connection to Mozart is rather diffuse, I know.

It certainly is. And probably just a stock photo someone pulled to slap on this disc. "Looks Mozartish enough". Unless there's a connection between the concertos (or a dedication) and Esterháza that I'm not aware of.

John Copeland

Symphony 4 from this.  What is there not to like about Martinu?

I haven't heard Barenboim's Franck but that Saint-Saens Third is desert island material.

Be quick about it, for when its sold out it will not be reprinted for quite some while. Its really very cheap, considering the quality of the content. Busoni can be quite a discovery, and the performances are all on a high level as well as the recordings.
