Even if I had entertained the thought of working, even a little, on the new flute duet, PT plus playing Catch just done my brain in. I took one serious nap. Mostly, I think light entertainment is in order. I might work as much as simply setting up the score for the Opus 200 band piece, which I may call What We Do This For, or I may call it something else.

Cross-post. I had a nice catch-up with my old mate Houston Dunleavy the other day. He suffered a reversal of health a few years ago, but he's been mending nicely and is nearly back to 100% He spoke well of Tuesday's concert, and shared this smashing performance of a recent-ish piece of his:

So, how is Maria and her mom doing?  And how to get them up north (if her mom wants to)?

They're doing well, thanks! This year the cherries were a little peculiar. They bloomed and then a frost blighted the blossoms, and during the brief time when they were photogenic, it was too cold for the artists to work en plein air. Maria's still trying hard to nail a contract down. A couple of times she was let down by a flighty personality. She keeps trying.
