Quote from: Elgarian Redux on August 07, 2025, 12:37:20 PMSame happens to me. (I too am a non-Facebook internet entity.)
Not even I would require anyone (much less a friend) to create a Facebook account to hear my music. The bloom left that rose some time since.

So, there is now a second phase to the Stroke Recovery Study in which I participated earlier. This phase doesn't involve visits to the clinic to have apparatus reading my brain, but exercises I am to do at home. I'll know more after my initial meeting, which will wait upon a note from my PCP clearing me for light-to-moderate exercise. I shall report.

What I didn't really appreciate until I reviewed the Library video is a real personal landmark: this is the first time I conducted for an hour. The run time of the show is 57 minutes, and I took a seat for the flute duet, but I was pretty much directing five superb instrumentalists for practically an hour.

Is it that 'FORBIDDEN' error that turns up from time to time? I encountered it in the Bird thread recently - and a day later all was inexplicably well again.

This is excellent news, Karl. Quite perked me up!

I did try using Edge instead of Firefox, and it worked. But shortly afterwards Firefox worked too.

Fact is, there's a gremlin in the works, Karl, and we must hunt him down!

Also, I am desperate to know what you have to say about Elvis's movies!

Fact is, I've managed to go all this way in Life's Journey without watching any. Which is mildly surprising, since my late Mum was a great Elvis fan. I have watched a most diverting New Twilight Zone episode, "The Once and Future King," though, which I can recommend. I wonder if @Cato has seen that, yet?...

I think perhaps I should congratulate you at this point. And yet, and yet .... I have a fondness for Elvis, who at times did elevate himself to greatness (outside most of the movies, it must be said). And I have watched Roustabout far more often than could be good for me.

Your post reminded me of a movie I saw yesterday called, uhm, "Yesterday".  It had a bit of TZ plot in that through some strange event, a down on his luck/broke musician finds himself waking in a place that had never heard of the Beetles.  He starts singing their songs which everyone is blown away with and quickly rises in fame where other popular singers are bowing to him at how easy it looks for him.

The day he saw Yesterday yesterday. I think @Kalevala was another spokessoul for the movie, which it may well be time for me to watch again.
