And for my part, I think a rescoring of Moose on the Loose is called for.

A first draft for October's program:

Charms and Offertories

Robert Gross, Four's the Charm
Henning, Amorphous and Forward-Looking
Henning, A Dance Floor for the Introverted (*1)
Kevin Scott, Offertories  (*2)
Henning, Lamentatio pro sorore sua (*3)
Henning, Moose on the Loose
Henning, Nostalgia Ain't What It Used to Be (*4)

Notes:
(*1) unless Peter and Carol would very much prefer launching the Opus 201 duets on this program.
(*2) depending, we might split them up rather than play them all at once (I'd consult Kevin on this q. first, of course.)
(*3) if I think a bass clarinet/bassoon version feasible.
(*4) we won't have Dave on double-bass, so I'm toying with the notion of an all-winds version.

Not at all surprisingly, the bassoon/bass clarinet adaptation was easy.

That sounds like a fun piece of music! :)

I have a moose of my own; well, it's a relatively small plush (about a foot long) which I purchased years ago (long story).  One of my cats, which I acquired when it was still a kitten, liked to suckle on it--often on the end of its snout, but sometimes on one of its hooves.  🤣  Too cute and sweet to watch!

Excellent Henning Ensemble rehearsal this evening! And the Administrator at the church is doing a great job promoting our concert locally!
Looks like this concert, too, will livestream via Facebook. More as word comes in.

Imagine my pleasure this morning when friends at church told me that they had visited Grace Episcopal Church in Medford (two towns south of Woburn, Wonder of the North) a couple of weeks ago and that music of mine was played for the Prelude!

As Greta is now a full member of the Henning Ensemble, I am alive to the appearance of neglecting her husband Eric. Thus this arrangement.

Sounds like you're getting some more interest in your music?  Yes?  No?  What would you say?

After a long dry season, I see more signs that I am better known in Boston music circles than it has seemed to me.

I'm happy for you!

So, and a reality check, when is your mother-in-law and Maria back into the area?  And do you have (don't know what is required these days), your suits and/or dress shirt cleaned and ready for subbing?

Keep your nose to the grindstone!  You can do it.  I believe in you.   :)
