Leporello

Hi, my name is Max and I am from Holland. 21 years old.

I am a big classical music fan. All day long I listen to music.

Favorite composer:         Mozart

Playing an instrument:     Yes, I play bassoon  :D

Favorite pieces:             That's a difficult question  :o. It changes every week. But a few all time favorites:

Mozart: Mass in c, Posthorn Serenade, Piano C. 17,20,21, String quintet in g kv516, Gran Partita,
Symponies nr. 6 (the andante is beautiful; very tender young Mozart music (my English is nog very well, so
cannot find good words), also nr. 25, 36, 38-41 and offcours the operas.

J.S. Bach: Brandenburg Concerto nr. 1,  Orchestral Suite 3 + 4, Matthaus Passion

Rossini: Barbier de Sevilla

Chopin: Piano Concerto nr. 1

Vivaldi: several concerts (bassoon  :D, trumpet, mandoline etc.)

Schubert: Winterreise

Offcourse there is a lot more. But at this moment these are my big favorites. But each week I discover new works (especially Mozart, I listen everything from him; they are ALL masterpieces)

Hope to learn a lot from this forum!  :)    ;D

Yes, I love it too, especially the Andante. It's funny that the Finale has the same begin as the aria Osmin: O, wie will ich triumphieren (Entfuhrung aus dem Serail)

So yes, It's beautiful, but my list gets to long, so I didn't write it down

Yep, I started playing bassoon back in January so I have to practice a little bit more before I can play them!!  ::)

Hello, Max, and welcome.  Holland is wonderful!  (I've been there a number of times to hear the Concertgebouw.)  And love the bassoon (although I'm more inclined to hear Stravinsky using it than Mozart  :D).

Anyway, enjoy yourself here -- lots of fine people and interesting discussions.
