I just watched Karajan conduct Beethoven's
"Eroica" on Youtube. This is just one of unique, if a little odd Karajan's "MTV" videos which were tailored for home viewing instead of taped from direct live performance:

the orchestra were symmetrically placed onto three seperate "boxes"; violins on first box on left; winds, brasses and percussion on centre and violas plus celli and basses on right box. All of them memorized their parts considering the lack of music stands on the video. Stylish or exaggeratingly narcissist and ugly? Any other notable videos that looked like this?
