Hello all,

quizz time again.

This extreme short fragment is from a French composer,
it's not Berlioz, d'Indy, Koechlin or Cesar Franck.

Does anyone know which composer and which piece it is?

Thanks!

Rolf

ps, it's not Debussy too...

Too short for me to be able to tell much of anything. I would however have guessed Debussy or Ravel. But you have already ruled out the former.

I wasted time: and time wasted me.

I just found out it's fron Saint-Saens,

Completely agree with this opinion:
FOR ANY TYPE OF PAIN ANY DOCTOR HAVE NO TREATMENT. THEY CAN JUST GIVE U PAIN KILLERES AND THOSE ONLY WORK FOR A PERIOD AND THEN AFTER THAT THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN COME. WITH THE DOCTORS ONLY U CAN BE ADDICT WITH THEIR MEDICINE BUT CANT CURE THIS PROBLEM PERMANENTLY.
THE BEST WAY TO CURE IS A PHYSICAL EXERCISE LIKE ''YOGA'' OR ANY OTHER . YOGA CAN MAKE UR MUSCLES MORE FLEXIBLE AND MORE RELAXED. WITH THE HELP OF YOGA U CAN ADJUST THE GAP BETWEEN UR BONES IN THE NECK. CERVICAL REGION IS SO SENSITIVE IN UR BODY.
SOMETHING TO REMEMBER THAT DONT BEND UR NECK FROWARD, DONT DO SO MUCH SITTING WORK, MOVE UR NECK RIGHT AND LEFT AND UPSIDE TIME BY TIME IS BETTER FOR PAIN.
In any Cause You should use only FDA tested like Lyrica.

I thought it could be Phaeton

But that does not really fit.... Any more hints?

It has finally been guessed (at the Dutch radio 4), it is:

Saint-Saëns - Ouverture Andromaque

Ever heard of it?

The new fragment is:

Hi, Rolf! For one reason or another, I can't play the fragment (not with Opera, not with Firefox).

And no, I didn't know that piece by Saint-Saëns.
Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything. -- Plato

The new fragment was guessed immediately. BWV 4 "christ lag in todesbanden".
