There's an amusing little contest that made the weekend blog rounds, in which people are invited to summarize an opera plot in 140 characters, the length of a message on Twitter.  It apparently was begun by The Omniscient Mussel (a good blog, under any circumstances) and here its author posted the results.

Not sure if you miss much in describing Salome as 'spurned head-craving lunatic dies'.
Peanut butter, flour and sugar do not make cookies. They make FIRE.
