I just checked my YouTube profile and was amazed to see:

Videos Watched: 2,840

Looks like I do nothing but watch YouTube all day.

I joined in April 2006.

What are your stats?

I'm a little confused here.  Now and then I watch their videos, but I never had to register.

I find that almost everything I watch on youtube doesn't require an account to view; did you find that deleting your account caused you to spend less time on there?

Yes. I would visit daily to watch the videos from users to whom I had subscribed. Deleting my account has cut my time there to almost zero, other than a few videos linked from other sites.

This does look like a lot, but considering that I watch no TV, this maybe equates to 1 hour a day for two years... probably considerably less. I'm not sure if it counts only videos that are watched to the end, or any that are played in part. Quite often I won't watch a video to the end.
