Great!  :)

Last year I've decided to attend more concerts, and this year I will fortunately more time to do so.  :)

And the Festival's theme this year is: Naples!

PS Since not everyone masters the old and noble language of Dutch: the English language option is on the top left hand or bottom right hand corner of the page.

For me there's only one thing there which will prompt me to travel to Amsterdam, and that's La Fonte Musicale. Most of the rest is music I'm not specially interested in, or ensembles I'm not specially interested in, or ensembles I plan to see elsewhere (Huelgas in Antwerp for example) At the moment I'm thinking of a couple of days, including La Fonte Musicale, Bjorn Schmelzer's Gesualdo (which stupidly I missed at the Louvre) and Maria Galassi.

One I'd like to see very much is the Manfred Cordez's de Macque, I think the recording is magic, but it's not easy to fit in unfortunately.

Can someone who speaks their language please help me to work out when I can book if I'm a 40 Euro class friend?  It's all double dutch to me.

Also some pages seem to say that Schmelzer is going to do all three nights of Gesualdo's Responsoria in marathon four hour long concerts. That's my sort of thing (I saw Peter Brook's  Mahabharata twice!)

But is he repeating the same concert on 30th and then on the 31st August?

Really?  ::) Their language?  You mean Dutch?  :D

You remind of my American in laws, who frequently spoke of those people, in that country...  ::)
Something like aliens on Mars.... I didn't know "we" were "that" exotic...

Anyway, I'm happy to help. 8)

Question 1: https://oudemuziek.nl/steun-ons/word-vriend/ (click "EN" in the top left corner, or "ENGLISH " in the bottom tight corner") Spoiler: you get to order one week ahead, and get a discount for two tickets per concert.

Question 2: I'm not sure that any knowledge of Dutch makes a difference here: it does seem the same programme is listed for the 30th and the 31rd: https://oudemuziek.nl/musici/fomu19-graindelavoix-bjoern-schmelzer/
Exiting prospect anyway!

I knew it sounded strange, but that website makes me angry! It's so slow on chrome.

Anyway, thanks. And sorry if I made you feel like this  :o

DONE. I'll see La Fonte Musicale, La Main Harmonique, Graindelavoix and Mara Galassi. These concerts are filling up quickly and I'm slightly worried that I don't have very good seats for the harp concert. So if you want to go I wouldn't delay if I were you.

I took a day off this Friday and booked tickets for the 15th-16th-17th c. Neapolitan triptych by the Huelgas Ensemble.

They did a similar run of three concerts last year, loved it.  :)
