This one came up before, but I believe without disc count and contents available.  113 CDs and 4 DVDs.  That's a lot more Haitink than I am willing to listen to.
Does it contains unreleased dutch music?

I'm willing to listen to it, don't know if I'm willing to pay for it; I suspect it will be a premium product.

Note added: 300 pounds, actually not bad on a per disc basis, but daunting.

I like the look of the Naxos Bax complete symphonies (flat-packed) set. Unfortunately, I have all the CDs on their original releases.  ::)

I have only one of the CDs in this set. I have other Bax CDs from Naxos, but with different performers (Judd/Bournemouth SO)

I should have thought that fortunate, as you must have liner notes  8)

The new Naxos box set philosophy seems to include full notes (my 6CD sampler of the Brazilian Classics series includes all the original essays and artist biographies).

Hello.

Right pianist, right repertoire.

Absolutely. Thank you very much for that, Todd. Do you know how many discs are there in it?

Four.  It is a straight reissue of the Aevea release.  The same cover image is used.

Thanks. It must be two discs for Le Rossignol Eperdu and two more for the rest. Be it as it may, I have long awaited for it. Once again thank you. I set it in top-priority-seek-and-capture mode.

The texts of these podcasts is only Dutch, but there is some interesting repertoire to be discovered.
Both the Large broadcasting choir and the (musicians of) Dutch Radio Philharmonic have been delving into the archives.
Yesterday a (jazzy) work for two pianos and orchestra by Jurriaan Andriessen.

This might be a reissue; I know Harmonia Mundi is reissuing a lot of this band's older albums. It's a live concert from 2012.

Anyway: it purports to be the world premiere performance and recording of a 27 minute orchestral suite the student Debussy wrote for a jury that included Delibes, Dubois, and Ambroise Thomas. The latter complained that it was "strange" while Delibes praised it as "original."

Quote from: Symphonic Addict on November 15, 2022, 03:23:45 PMOh my... at last we're having recordings of Bacewicz's symphonies! But I wonder why they didn't record the first two symphonies prior these ones. It looks like a promising series:

Splendid news!!
