'They' - do you mean family/friends or men, and in what way are the 'they' superior?
Family/friends are the superior ones.
They are superior because f*** society, you are just a cog in the machine to society and they don't know you.
Family/friends actually see you as a real person and can appreciate you as such.

You seem to despise marriage, but can you have any sort of family without it?

You seem to despise society, but can you have any sort of family promotion and protection without it?

Despise doesn't feel like the correct word.

Being the man in a marriage sometimes means being viewed as a walking ATM, that's what I don't like. Being valued only for what you give is unfortunate, in line with the Chris Rock quote. It's avoidable- either marry someone valuable (someone who doesn't view men as such) or don't marry. Some people are lucky and get into a marriage that is not despise-able at all, it can actually be a great thing.

Society doesn't know you personally, so no need to want to impress them. Not sure what "family promotion" is, but for family protection, that is cops, and how well can they actually protect you? What's more likely to protect you is yourself, rather than cops.

I saw an article on the CNN web site about how there are some crazy people who still use Apple EarPods and how the reporter tried using EarPods to see just how crazy and unhinged these people really are. Huh? I still use my EarPods most of the time. I don't have to worry if they are charged, and I've learned how to deal with wires.

I recently read Good Omens and thought I would share an amusing quote about heaven and hell, for context Crowley is a demon and Aziraphale is an angel:

Quote"Listen," said Crowley desperately, "how many musicians do you think your side have got, eh? First grade, I mean." Aziraphale looked taken aback. "Well, I should think—" he began. "Two," said Crowley. "Elgar and Liszt. That's all. We've got the rest. Beethoven, Brahms, all the Bachs, Mozart, the lot. Can you imagine eternity with Elgar?" Aziraphale shut his eyes. "All too easily," he groaned.
