    Sewell is always fun.

Amazon Primesters might want to add MHZ as a paid addon for a variety of Euro shows. I watch it quite a bit.

Don't know if these have been mentioned already but I greatly enjoy them.

The Marple series is particularly dear to me due to the fact that both actresses vividly remind me physically of my late mother in her late years.

Speaking of MHZ (I did), I'm watching Money Murder Zurich about Swiss cops and lawyers.

The Swiss don't like to joke around much. I kind of like that after overdosing on the French.

Haven't watched any of the Miss Marple ones in ages.  I do love the Endeavour series though I seem to always be missing them on the t.v.  Will have to borrow the DVDs.

Inside Man (BBC, 4 x 1H episodes).

A gripping pile of absolute tosh.

Yet, great performances by Stanley Tucci and David Tennant.

Still tosh with a nonsensical plot.

yet gripping...

but tosh.

If you haven't given up halfway and you just happen to make it to episode 4, make sure you stick it out after the end credits. There's a plot twist then. We almost missed it.

Been taking multiple business flights recently, so I decided to try some free in-flight entertainment on my phone.  Tried the first episode of season two of Ted Lasso.  I was initially confused because I was under the impression that it was a comedy, yet I didn't laugh.  Then I realized that it is just not any good.

Wait a moment...a plot twist that doesn't show up until after the end of the show?

You lasted longer than I did (probably because of the flights). I shut it off from irritation after five minutes.

I'll be interested in your impressions of this final series later on, George, since you did love the earlier ones.

I guess I'll feel guilty now if I don't. . .

But seriously, I plan to. I've seen half of season 3 so far and was suprised that a number of the characters were new at the start of season 3, so I was a bit lost at first, but it soon clarified. I'd say that so far, season 3 seem more drama and less comedy than I recall s1-s3 being, but then again I have a shit memory. Still enjoyable, though notably less though (so far) than s1-s3.

Ok, I just finished and ended up liking the final season overall. I still miss some of the humor from prior seasons, but it wrapped up quite well. I look forward to watching the whole series again at some point.

I assume you saw S3?

Yeah, we've been watching Succession. Planning to watch the finale tomorrow. Pretty good so far.

I assume you mean S3 @George;)

This is what I thought at the time:

Quote from: Papy Oli on May 01, 2023, 04:47:27 AMBinged in one rainy Sunday afternoon: BBC's GUILT final season 3.

It has its usual darkness, sarcasm, humour, plotting & backstabbing, with a couple of new storylines and some new characters intertwining nicely into the longer established arcs. This is actually what saves this season from otherwise being too "samey". Closing it all (neatly) in this third instalment feels right but also necessary.

Still a recommended watch for the fans this oddball of a series.

I had read about the change of actors on a couple of characters beforehand, that did help. Maybe S3 could have done with a bit more humour overall, you are right. I'll never think in my head of Maaaaax, Jaaaake or Kennnnnny without a Scottish accent now  ;D
