Deserves to be remembered. he's my favorite songs
american composer.
I'll second the sentiment. Sinatra's recording of "I've Got You Under My Skin" is one of life's great pleasures, imho. I've been working my way through Gershwin's songs on piano, and I have to say the songbooks of Porter et al. are among America's great musical gifts to the world.
Well, but he does misuse the word mentality in the line, "Use your mentality, wake up to reality" . . . .
(One also wonders what composer he had in mind with the line, "You're a melody in a symphony by Strauss" . . . .) 8)

I don't see it as a misuse of the word, and I'd defy anyone here —
Karl — to come with a lyric one eighth as good. ;)
You're cellophane, Joe! 8)
