Sure, the 15-18k was only the ca. 2 months long legs, so it's 4 times as much for 9 months.  I am aware that huge ships behave differently and are stabilized. Not attractive to me anyway.

You should practice piano more ;) I once knew a guy whose brother sometimes went to (probably smaller, like Mediterranean) cruises as pianist.

I should indeed, but my technique has deteriorated to the point where I'm embarrassed to play even for myself at home.

If there is an Orthodox monastery, those are my three favorite countries.

There is at least one in France, actually. I know because I've been there several times. It's somewhere near Grenoble.

Given your criterion, Romania, Greece and Bulgaria are right up your alley.

Mount Athos on the Eastern peninsula of Greece! Or no doubt a few in Tibet.

I very much doubt there is one single Orthodox Christian monastery in Tibet.

Otoh, if you started driving from any location in Romania, in whatever direction, you'd stumble upon such a monastery within the hour.

Still I'm on my way.

Not a monastery, but we have the largest Greek Orthodox Church of Western Europe in Helsinki, the Uspenski Cathedral visited by half a million tourists every year.
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.

I've only ever lived in three countries: the US, South Korea and New Zealand.

Which country was the best for sea food in your personal experience?

KevinP

Korea, but it's limited to Korean-style cooking/preparation, though with Italian having risen in popularity. Otherwise, I'd say NZ is more versatile (more immigrants) but also more expensive.

As for the US, I've only ever lived in Chicago, too far inland for high expectations of seafood. You're paying for their flight.
