I would have enjoyed it more if they had totally transformed it into latin instead of half latin / half classical. So I guess I am saying they should have gone more extreme!! Oh, and gotten rid of the orchestra.

OK...like, who were they? the Stars on Long Play? didn't already bastardize the poor piece enough by giving it a teeth-grinding disco beat back in the '70s, right? (In fact, IIRC, it was popular enough that they pretty much gave the same treatment to most of the better-known classical themes. I shudder to recall...)

Anyway, if these guys REALLY want a challenge, let 'em do their mambo thing with a Messaien piece. Catalogue d'oiseaux cha cha. THAT I'd like to hear.
