'Complexification'

I rather liked that fwiw .. sounds crepuscular, post Berg-ian (?)

Uhor

I don't think I'll finish 'Complexification' any time soon but in the meantime I did this:

Moderato for string quartet:

...bit less anxious music,

Flute and string quartet:

Shadows (for 12 players):

(I'll probably revise this later.)

Good work. Some really sweet chords in there!

Another spurt of inspiration and a bit of reworking yielded this:

alto, yes? the score seems to say "contralto"

music for flute is never notated with leger lines below the staff ....

Nice piece.

Thanks Karl! In Spanish we call the alto "contralto" and the score is in concert pitch.

Got it!  You'll want a transposed "score" for the player!

After some time trying, I've come up with a new set of ideas to play with, to be developed later.

I've been trying out diversifying my styles, the goal of which can be read in the "If you are a composer (...)" thread https://www.good-music-guide.com/community/index.php/topic,31120.0.html

In attempting to maintain motivic unity and variety but regain clarity, this rather diatonic image emerged which then I thought some of you might like.
