I would not want that to be my piece. It's ok, but some polyrhythms and more busyness and chaos would have added some excitement. I heard Stravinsky, no Bartok chaser. The Klingon Symphony, again. Chavez & Revueltas, with some Pacific Orientalism. eh :(

Mm...had not heard of him; worth investigating, definitely (not least if 'rated' by Gergiev).   Thanks for the 'heads up' on this !
