^For me that too closely resembles depictions of Salome with the head of John the Baptist.

I just learned about Power Slap.  (I can't possibly keep up with all the developments in high culture today.)  Yep, it's real.  A slapping contest.  A SLAPPING CONTEST.  This pic is good, but it can't match the inspiration:

People would rather believe than know - E.O. Wilson

I thought it was inspired by the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

"Antony and Cleopatra might have gotten an A for effort, but that didn't stop the aesthetic misfires. Opera critic Peter G. Davis was there that evening and remembers the errors that marred rehearsals and opening night: lighting miscues, a dissatisfied stage crew and malfunctioning Pyramid taking it's tomb-like function too literally and trapping Price inside. Barber and Zeffirelli had two opposite visions of the same opera and that fiasco of an evening highlights the importance of communication."

"More is fine," a collaborator recalled Mr. Zeffirelli saying, and as a set designer, he delivered more gilt, more brocade and more grandiosity than many theater patrons expected to find on a single stage.

Excusez moi - I should have warned you....

Even 4 years after his death, and 57 years after the premiere of Antony and Cleopatra, Zeffirelli keeps on inspiring set designers.... ;D
