How is that? I like a lot of Al Jarreau, most especially his early studio album We Got By and the early double live Look To The Rainbow, but I don't think I've heard that one.

Saw him in concert once here, it was a really good show.

The side A is good. It's a mixture of 80s pops and r&b. Produced by Nile Rogers.

Mylène Farmer - Sans contrefaçon.
Modal. Sounds a little like Coltrane's My Favorite Things.

Amazon Auto-rip of the upcoming vinyl release. More accurately, the auto-rip that comes with it, which may or may not be the same mastering, since as there's no corresponding CD release, I doubt anybody at Amazon actually did a needle drop.

I still think that the Vols 1 and 2 are the best among tons of their recordings!

This is my first time actually owning it, though I have at least half the tracks spread over various compilations.

Still, no argument here. Their live material from this period is pretty consistent.

(The studio Rhythm Machine is the only one I've heard by them that I really don't like. I'm surprised it's so highly rated.)

I thought Bamboleo was weird, if likable. When I was a kid, I liked Fania All Stars Featuring Jan Hammer, but it hasn't been issued in CD format.

NP: There You Go, FA with Jan Hammer in live.

Have you seen 007 Live and Let Die with McCartney theme music? Roger Moore visits New Orleans. Also Angel Heart by Micky Rouke?

Yes, seen both. Angel heart is a film I like very much, and now that you've mentioned it would like to see again. Great noirish atmosphere and sense of otherness. Great soundtrack (and clever and subtle incorporation of dialogue on the soundtrack album within the music).

Live and Let Die I havent seen since I was a teenager, and would hesitate to watch again now. I did enjoy the guys at the Kill James Bond podcast mercilessly pulling it apart and giving it the worst score of all the Bond films acording to their criteria (Smarm, Cultural insensitivity, Unprovoked violence, Misogyny).

Have you seen the TV show Treme?

Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
