Very nice, more bluesy than I would have expected (whatever it is I expected!). Is this representative? The website gives the impression that some of your compositions are a bit out there for metal. I know it's hard to do a lot with 15 sec clips so I'm wondering why you settled on those.

The compositions are alot more intricate and involved than the clips portray. I can't give out lengthier clips for legal reasons.

The Lyraka music involves more dynamics than what passes for a lot of "heavy metal" these days. These days Deep Purple isn't considered heavy metal, and inded Lyraka is quite a bit heavier, but back in the '70's Purple and Rainbow would often add different musical genres, integrating them into their own (basically hard rock) style. Lyraka is like that in that respect. But of course there are still extreme metal, progressive thrash and death metal elements as well.

Not to toot my own horn, but the CD is really good, I'm extremely happy with it, and I believe that people who are into the idea of a far more progressive Rainbow/Black Sabbath/Death with Wagnerian elements would find it fascinating both from musical and philosophical levels.

Thanks Karl. Although I know you aren't overall wild about Wagner, his Ring quadrilogy really helped me with my orchestration and overall music inspiration. The archetypes that he used in the opera were a big influence on my prose and character development.

Thanks, I'm very grateful!

I'm really proud of how my music came out. It was quite the handful, the logistics of dealing with so many musicians (many of them big names).

You are helping to fund the next cd, "Lyraka Volume 2", and thus helping to fulfill my dreams as a composer. For that, I am deeply indebted, and that goes for all the supportive people on this forum.

We are all going to rock the world, together!

Sarge, it's extra awesome to read that. I was hoping to hear from you, because I seem to remember (please correct me if I'm wrong) you liked Rainbow's Down to Earth, which is one of my all time favorite albums, ever, and a huge inspiration to me.

It was a dream come true. Graham is tied with Ronnie James Dio as my favorite Rock/Metal singer, ever. If you like Down To Earth and Wagner, you're probably going to find something to like about Lyraka.

I'm especially grateful to hear of your support on this matter, Sarge, being that you are a fellow Wagnerian.

Are you shipping to the UK? Does the $3.98 cover it?

So I'm interested to know how you are going to market this, get the word out so to speak?

Anyway, I'll order if I can and all power to you for realizing your vision.
