Title: New Liszt recordings & first Eduard Franck recordings
Post by: fahl5 on July 29, 2011, 10:40:44 PM
I recently published the 22 recordings of early works by the Mendelssohnpupil Eduard Franck (1817-1893) both with the sound of a 1848 Berndt grandpiano  (http://klassik.s-fahl.de/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&id=8&Itemid=55&lang=en) located in the "Mendelssohnhaus" Leipzig  and with the sound of a modern (Fazioli) grandpiano (http://klassik.s-fahl.de/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&id=9&Itemid=58&lang=en).
21 of those 22 recordings are 'world first' recordings. Only Op.3,2 was recorded once before in 2009 by James Tocco.

I also published to his 200th birthday complete recordings of Liszts Années de Pelerinage and Valses oubliées (http://klassik.s-fahl.de/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&id=10&Itemid=62&lang=en).(You will also find my previous recording of Liszts Studies here)

I am curious what you think about.
