Title: My outer space fantasy piece for large orchestra
Post by: relm1 on December 30, 2015, 04:58:22 PM
Hello,

If any of you are interested in hearing my 14 minute long piece for orchestra, you can hear it here:

The piece is also a tribute to James Horner so has a few "tip of that hat" or two to his style.  So this work has what I consider to be few outer space nods as an homage to that 1980's and 1990's sci-fi space opera style I love and grew up with.  The piece is intended for a space museum exhibit.  Along with the orchestral version heard here, I have also arranged the piece for symphonic winds which will receive its premiere in May, 2016.  I hope you enjoy it.
