I should have shared this earlier. For my job as a food writer, instead of writing up my own favorite takeout meals of 2022, I reviewed the takeout from the perspective of my cat, with lots of pictures. It's apparently the most memorable article I've written because I was getting some barbecue a few weeks ago and a customer in line said "Oh, are you that food writer? I love your cat!"  ;D

Interesting thing I noticed:  Amazon shows two different authors' names there:  Lloyd Baron and Anatoli Schulz.  I went to the .com website for Anatoli Schulz and there's a different title for the novella there:  If cats could talk...would they cry?

In any event, I read the first page from it and found it to be interesting.  Alas, my library doesn't have it.

Quote from: vandermolen on March 05, 2023, 10:54:54 PMI like the sound of this ballet:

In 1927 Diaghilev's company produced the ballet La Chatte (The Cat) with music by Sauguet, which premiered in Monte Carlo on April 30. The story is about a young man who falls in love with a cat, which assumes a human form through the intervention of Aphrodite. As they make love, the cat-woman sees a mouse and cannot resist chasing it, whereupon she changes back into a cat. The work was choreographed by the young George Balanchine.[3]

Interestingly Jeffrey, it is in the Ballets Russes Warner box set that just arrived at my door today!  :)

I found this video to be very touching.  I had also never heard of swimmer's syndrome before.  Grateful that there are pet foster parents like this woman in the world.

I can detect some wariness in the expression, but confidence as well. Good luck with 'Punkin.  8)

For some reason or another, I was recommended this video.  Noodle, the singing cat.  Note:  I didn't watch the other segments--just the first one.  Quite clever!

What a voice!  :o

After 91 days of catlessness, I picked up these eight-week-old cuties from a co-worker whose cat had given birth. Tentatively named Lulu and Marta (after Martha Geschwitz, I'm leaving off the 'h' to avoid pronunciation confusion).  I may never get to sit on this recliner again.

Very nice - I hope that they bring you much pleasure.
