Title: Error in sheet music? [ANSWERED]
Post by: Black Knight on June 22, 2007, 05:56:17 AM
This is about the sheet music of Rachmaninoff's C sharp minor prelude on www.imslp.org:

http://imslp.ca/images/imslp.ca/0/02/Rachmaninoff_-_Fantasy_Pieces_2.pdf (http://imslp.ca/images/imslp.ca/0/02/Rachmaninoff_-_Fantasy_Pieces_2.pdf)

In the sixth measure on the third page, should there be a natural before the E# in the two last chords played by the left hand? Same for measure eight on the same page.

Hope someone can answer.

I would say there should be naturals.

Yes. I've just checked the two copies of the score I have, and they both have it. Also, it makes musical sense.
