How nice, to be able to fall asleep on a block of ice. ;D I'm a cold-weather guy, but haven't quite gotten to that point yet.

Well, if you had fur for skin...

I had mixed feelings looking at that picture--part of me was thinking "Aw, sweet!" and another part of me was thinking of all of the ice melting that has been going on over our recent time on this planet.   :(

The other photos (if you scroll down) were amazing too [Wonder what the turtle was thinking?].

Yes, a little sad, from that point of view.

After works by Haydn, Stacy Garrop, Ravel, and an encore (Ravel's menuet in honor of Haydn), the Tesla Quartet takes a bow at the Black Squirrel Club. Located in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia, the venue is an old steam plant from the 1890s.

Waking up to see the morning sun shining on Easter.  Planning on taking a walk by a river before the festivities begin.

Last year, a friend and I were there early enough to see an owl in flight returning to the woods.

This was the first time in a few years that I didn't see the small children out looking for easter eggs. :'( But I probably just took my morning walk too early to see that.

It's fun to see the look on their faces and sometimes bemusement on the really young ones.  The home that I went to for Easter dinner had a couple of young ones going on the hunt for eggs (with parents and relatives supervising them when they went into dangerous terrain--and helping them at times to find the eggs!).  :)

Happily, a friend and I made it down to the river beforehand (though just for a tiny bit as we were running late); glad we went though as we spied a pair of red-tailed hawks (one was flying relatively low over us).  Hopefully they didn't catch the Easter Bunny!  :o
