Rachmaninov's operas are not as well-known as his piano music but they are still of a very high quality. I included in my poll only the operas that he finished. I have no doubt that The Miserly Knight is the greatest one. It's greatly atmospheric and one of Russian opera's hidden gems.

Yes!  It deserves to be performed much more often!  I used to have this recording from Melodiya:

I haven't heard any of them in such a long time, but I remember The Miserly Knight being the one that impressed me the most.
