Personally I don't understand why people are not interested of "later" TD, but then again how could I understand other people? When I got into TD back in 2008, I was warned by TD fans online how the TD albums of the 90s suck for all the flamenco guitars and saxophone. When I explored them I found those albums at least okay and extending the stylistic range of the band. I like how TD has done so many styles. No matter what mood I am in, there is likely something by them that fits it.

For me not liking later TD would be a limitation rather than something to be proud of. I guess I am very lucky to be able to enjoy all of their music. I just don't expect musicians to make their early albums over and over again. Music technology has advanced so much while TD has been creating music. It would be a miracle if it didn't show in the style and sound.

After the very long winter we are finally having warmer weather this week. +12°C (54°F) in Helsinki.

In Kuusamo, one of the most seismically active areas in Finland (700 km from Helsinki) has been an earthquake of magnitude 2.0. Yes, earthquakes of magnitude 2.0 on Richter scale are news in Finland.

For me nostalgia makes the present more tolerable, less dark. We are perhaps going back to the middle ages undoing enlightenment and choosing barbarism over humanism, but at least there was a time when man went to the Moon and humankind had a vision for better future. The future we envisioned decades ago is here, but it sucks for the most part. At least it is a massive disappointment for me. I have previously been ignoring the past too much. I always looked into the future with high hopes. Doing so I have been lost, because the past shaped me and made me what I am. Life has tought me some lessons and now I have much more realistic expectations for the future. Future has stopped looking better than the past. I have even started to fear the future. I doubt Nietzsche, who died in 1900 and knew nothing about the World today, would change my mind.
