Title: Anyone see this film?

I might have to watch it. Not only does the soundtrack have Penderecki's Threnody, but some Mahler, too!  And it says "music is by John Tavener."
Which Mahler does it have?

Penderecki figures fairly prominently in this film (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inland_Empire_(film)) as well.

Was Inland Empire any good?

I recently discovered Twin Peaks and am enjoying it very much. Last night I saw the third episode and the infamous dream sequence that concludes it was quite thrilling.

I think it's a masterpiece. It's one of the few instances I know of film "aspiring to the condition of music".

Both of these soundtracks are good.

Dude, you have GOT to see The Honeymoon Killers (1970) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0064437/)...  LOL, all Mahler, but it's kinda kitschy there.

Yes I did see Children of Men, and the music was nice but didn't leave that much of an impression, besides yeah, recognizing Threnody...movie's pretty good though, a well-directed gritty, grimy post-apocalyptic view of the future with an intriguing premise. I just love the work of director Alfonso Cuaron.

Inland Empire is the only Lynch movie that I didn't like.  I hated his choice of hd cameras instead of conventional film, and I didn't feel that it was nearly as good as his earlier movies in almost every way.

Now I love Twin Peaks, I've seen it twice.  Once the mystery is resolved it starts to lose steam, you'll see after that the show starts to lose steam and the second story is not as compelling.  We're lucky now we have the whole series on dvd.  The first time I watched it, I had to watch it mostly on vhs, and not good vhs either, they released it on ep mode tape. :P

I just looked and saw a 10 minute clip on youtube, but they only played the first 10 seconds of the Threnody.  :-\
