--Rant Begins--
It's not
even BS.
The entry for India is very typical -- I apologise in advance for the generalisation -- of the western view of Indian music. (Although I didn't expect it to be placed somewhere in the middle.) It must be realised that if there is Indian music, then there must be/have been Indian composers, as well. (Duh!) And it should also be noted that the Sitar isn't the only instrument from this region of the world. ::)

Tchaikovsky Ukrainian? :o
Best Classical Guitar Composer Ever: Isaac Albeniz . :o
Mixing pop with classical, folk with hard rock and everything in between :o
Average musiquality? :o
WTF?
I find this list at least interesting as a topic for discussion. For instance, opus's response is of interest to me. The person at RYM who made this list obviously put a lot of work into it.

a quality work.

Would you agree that having Russia behind Jamaica, Germany behind England and Austria behind USA is misleading in terms of classical music?

Yes, if we're speaking strictly classical, which the listmaker obviously isn't.

Yes and that's my main criticism: he conflated everything "musical" under the Sun, and the result is a mishmash with no relevance at all.

That was fun! ;D Now, a serious question out of sheer curiosity... those sounds (the loudest part) from around 1:00 till 2:00, are they words with meanings, or are they just sounds?

There are one or two occasional words that actually mean something like "jazz" (pronounced yatz in Finnish) when it gets a bit jazzy, but it's mainly just "scatting", as you guessed.
But it's no match for...
Death Metal Band: Amorphis

Greek Soprano, Best European Female Voice of the Twentieth Century: Maria Callas
One of the Greatest Composers of Electronic Music of All-Time: Vangelis

Better entries than I would've expected from such a generic and random list. I won't comment on the ranking, either.
PS.
"Vangelis" does have a surname (Papathanassiou).
This is the secret U.N. list of acceptable music after the "Conflagration" of 2011. I think this list is creepy. It reminds me of the beaurocratic thinking that went into picking cds for our county's libraries.
We tell you what you like... so, you BETTER like it! >:D
