Post by: robnewman on June 01, 2009, 05:36:09 AM
Nikolai Medtner (1880-1951) Russian virtuoso pianist and composer. Friend and close associate of Sergi Rachmaninov but far more reclusive. Each dedicated concertos to the other. Medtner today is recognised as being one of the most talented composers of the 20th century for piano. His later years were spent in England where he deliberately avoided touring.

Nikolai Medtner (1880-1951)
Piano Concerto No. 2, Op. 50 - (1922-27)
Second Movement
Romanza/Andante
