Title: Bach's Greatest Works Part 2c Vocal (excluding cantatas)
Post by: DavidW on September 10, 2009, 04:06:31 AM
Vocal

Everytime I ask questions they are ignored; so how about you just say whatever the heck you want to about these works and we'll leave it at that.

I was thinking: Isn't that Cristmas Oratorio a set of cantatas?

I love those motets.

I was going to mention that, but I had a feeling that I would get no replies if I did! :D  Because it leads me to wonder if some consider it okay to break up one of those big oratorios, masses, passions over a few days and not listen to the whole thing at once.

I almost have the Oratorio on repeat all Christmas long, but somewhere I've read that it is very seldom that it's being performed live like that.

As for breaking works up: Mea culpa.

(OT: Do you need armor? You seemed to be doing just fine without. ;D)

Oh my avatar change was inspired by nearing tripping over an armadillo in my pre-dawn walk yesterday!  He was just sitting right outside my apartment, and in the almost non-existent light it took me awhile to figure out what that ugly thing was! :D
